Terms and conditions

The following Terms and Conditions relate to the BFP ‘Just Rewards’ prize draw for the period of 1 October – 31 December 2009:

Main Terms and Conditions:

1. Entry into the prize draw is free.
2. There are three top prizes and ten runners up prizes. Details of these are included in the main brochure.
3. The prize draw is open to existing customers of Barclays Financial Planning and the friends that they recommend – the friend referred should not already be a customer of Barclays Financial Planning. Entrants must be recommended by an existing customer of Barclays Financial Planning to be eligible. We reserve the right to contact winners by telephone and mail to inform them if they are a winner. Neither party needs to purchase a product or make an appointment to be eligible.
4. Entrants must be aged 18 or over and be permanent residents in the UK. Employees and past employees of Barclays Bank PLC or anyone materially connected to the administration of the prize draw are excluded from entering the draw.
5. Entry to the draw is via post, online or telephone. Applicants must apply through one of the routes outlined on this form to be entered.
6. Closing date for the receipt of prize draw entries is 31.12.09.
7. Customers may submit a maximum of two entries. Each entry should comprise of different referral details. These entries once submitted will become the property of Barclays Bank PLC and will not be returned.
8. The draw will take place by 04.01.10 and will be supervised by an independent observer.
9. Entrants select the top prize that they would prefer to win on the entry form and each top prize will then have a separate ‘lucky dip’ draw of entrants who have selected that prize. If a top prize has no entrants, the other top prizes will be drawn then remaining entrants who have not won a prize will be entered into a 'lucky dip' draw for the remaining top prize. Where the customer does not select a preferred prize, they will be entered at random into one of the draws on a ‘lucky dip’ basis. The ten runners up will be selected at random on a ‘lucky dip’ basis and randomly allocated to one of the ten runners up prizes.
10. The winners will be notified via telephone by 07.01.10.
11. The winners will be notified in writing and receive information on how to redeem their prizes by no later than 15.01.10.
12. If a winner cannot be contacted within 21 days from the draw date, an alternative winner will be drawn.
13. The name and county of the winners and the name of the independent observer will be available on the BFP website (www.financialplanning.barclays.co.uk/just-rewards) within 28 days of the published closing date.
14. Barclays Bank PLC reserves the right to publish the name and county of the winners.
15. All entrants to the prize draw will be deemed to have accepted the rules.
16. No alternatives to the prizes offered will be given.
17. In the event that the prizes offered are unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control, we reserve the right to offer alternative prizes of equal or greater value.
18. In the event that the prize winner does not wish to keep the prize for their own use, they may gift the prize to a friend or relative. They may not however sell the prize on to a third party to make a profit.
19. Promoter of the prize draw is Barclays Bank PLC.

Two Night Break with Champagne Afternoon Tea

1. The prize is subject to availability.
2. The prize is available for two nights’ accommodation for two people at The Met Hotel, Leeds in a twin/double room on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis.
3. The hotel stay is available for any weekend in 2010, excluding Christmas (24-27 December inclusive), New Year (31 December inclusive) and Easter (02-05 April inclusive).
4. The hotel stay and champagne afternoon tea are subject to availability at the time of booking.
5. Travel to and from the venue is not included.

Overnight Wine Tasting Break

1. The prize is subject to availability.
2. The prize is available at the following locations: Guildford, Kenilworth or Northampton.
3. The prize includes one night’s accommodation at various hotels (depending on location chosen) on a Friday in a double/twin room with dinner and a full English breakfast.
4. The prize is available for two people on any one of four dates at each venue, available between March and November 2010.
5. The minimum age is 18.
6. Tasting commences at 6.30pm and finishes at approximately 9pm.
7. Check in from 2pm and check out at 10.30am the following day. If you wish to stay an extra night (either Thursday or Saturday) a discounted rate is available on request.
8. There will be a maximum of 60 people taking part in the wine tasting and you will be seated on tables of 10 or 12.
9. There is no formal dress code; we recommend smart/casual dress.
10. Requests for twin rooms will be accommodated if available, but can’t be guaranteed. Your room will be either in the main house or a separate accommodation block (depending on the venue).
11. Dinner comes from a set menu. Wine is not included.
12. Travel to and from the venue is not included.

Fortnum and Mason Dinner Party Hamper

1. Typical hamper contents includes the following: Crystallised Peppermints, 200g; Sandringham Blend, 250g Tin; Chateauneuf du Pape, Chateau Simion 2006; Strawberry & Champagne Preservative, 340g; Orange & Champagne Marmalade, 340g; Piccadilly Biscuit Selection, 600g; Royal Blend, 250g tin; Ceylon Orange Pekoe, 250g tin; Bucks Fizz Truffles, 270g; Brut Reserve Champagne, T.Roederer N.V Magnum; Gruner Veltliner, Hirtzberger 2007; Assorted Thins, 195g box; Everyday Dark Chocolate, 70g bar; Honey Nuts; Colheita Port, Niepoort 1991.
2. The contents of the hamper are subject to availability. In the event where a product is not available, a suitable alternative will be provided.
3. Hamper delivery is included as part of the prize, delivery is restricted to UK addresses only.
